Ingredients
Gather Ingredients from the list below 1 package Smithfield PBR Brats 1 package Smithfield Hometown Original Bacon 5 pretzel buns 4 tablespoons butter 16 oz cheddar cheese, shredded 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1 1/2 cups sauerkraut (more or less depending on preferred tang and consistency) 12 oz beer
Gather Ingredients from the list below
Directions
1.
Wrap the brats, wrap each brat with 2 slices of bacon in a slight spiral, overlapping the edges. Secure the ends with toothpicks
2.
Preheat your grill to 350°F. Place brats away from direct flames, close the lid, and cook for about 20–25 minutes, turning occasionally
3.
Move them over direct medium heat for another 3-5 minutes, turning frequently until the bacon is browned and crisp. Watch for flare-ups from dripping bacon fat and avoid burning
4.
In a cast iron skillet, combine butter, cheese, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and beer. Mix and place on the grill. One the cheese is melted, make sure to stir and watch the heat to ensure it doesn’t boil or curdle. Once melted and smooth, add in sauerkraut, mix well to combine and remove from heat
5.
Remove all toothpicks and serve bacon wrapped brats in a pretzel bun. Pour beer cheese over it and enjoy!
