Gather Ingredients from the list below
Directions
1.
Preheat grill to 285°
2.
Remove the Smithfield roast from the packaging and place directly on the grill. Smoke the roast uncovered for 1 hour at 285°.
3.
After an hour, transfer the roast to a foil pan, pour in apple juice along with the marinade left from the package. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and place back on the grill.
4.
Continue cooking low and slow at 285° until the pork is tender and reaches 195-205° internally. Exact time will depend on the size of the roast, but expect a few more hours on the grill.
5.
Remove the pan from the grill and let it rest, covered, for 30 minutes.
6.
Shred the pork, mixing some of the cooking juices back into the meat.
7.
Toast your buns and assemble the sandwich! Pile on the pulled pork, coleslaw, and dill pickles. Add BBQ sauce drizzle to your liking.
