Heat a large non-stick pan or griddle over medium high heat
Cook the sausage patties for about 5 minutes on one side, add the onions to the griddle, then flip the patties onto the onions and cook for 3 minutes
After the 3 minutes on the second side, pour about 1/2 cup of water on the griddle and cover with a lid or foil
Steam the patties for about another 3 minutes or until the patties are cooked through
When the patties are done, remove from the heat, cover to keep warm, and wipe down to remove any browned bits
Whisk together the eggs and half and half and cook on the griddle until just set, stirring as needed to keep from browning
Turn the heat off on the griddle, and divide the eggs into 8 portions on the griddle
Top each egg with half of a slice of American cheese, one of the sausage patties, and the tops of the slider rolls
Cover again for about 3 minutes, then with a spatula, transfer each sausage egg and cheese situation to the bottoms of the rolls
Serve immediately
