ELIGIBILITY: The Smithfield “Holiday Swag Sweeps” Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older and the age of majority in the applicable jurisdiction at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and members of the same household (whether or not related), of Smithfield Foods, Inc. (“Sponsor”) and its parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, are not eligible to participate or win a prize. The Giveaway is subject to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. HOW TO ENTER: &nbsp;The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 AM ET on 12/1/24 and ends on 12/15/24 at 11:59:59 PM ET (“Promotion Period”). Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device. During the Promotion Period, visit www.smithfield.com/holidayswagsweeps and follow the directions to complete and submit an entry form in its entirety to receive one (1) entry. Limit one (1) entry per person during the Promotion Period. No other method of entry will be accepted. &nbsp;Additional entries beyond the specified limit will be void. Entries that are generated by a script, macro, or other automated means and/or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules will be disqualified. Automated methods of entry, including entry via unauthorized third-party websites or services, are prohibited. Sponsor is not responsible for (a) electronic transmissions or entries that are lost, late, stolen, incomplete, damaged, garbled, destroyed, misdirected or not received by Sponsor or its agents for any reason; (b) any problems or technical malfunctions, errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, delays in operations or transmission, communication failures or human error that may occur in the transmission, receipt or processing of entries, or for destruction of or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries; (c) failed or unavailable hardware, network, software or telephone transmissions, damage to entrants’ or any person’s computer, mobile device and/or its contents, or causes beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control that jeopardize the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes; (d) incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by entrants or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (e) any typographical or other error in any printing or advertising related to this Sweepstakes, in the administration or execution of the Sweepstakes, or in the announcement of the prize winner(s); or (f) cheating or fraud by any entrant. In the event of a dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having used the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the applicable domain. RANDOM DRAWING; ODDS: On or about 12/16/2024 (“Drawing Date”), one (1) potential winner will be selected by random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, the potential winner will be declared the official winner of the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. &nbsp;
PRIZE: &nbsp;One (1) winner will receive “Smithfield SWAG” comprising of on e (1) apron, one (1) wooden cutting board, one (1) melamine cutting board, one (1) oven mitt, one (1) set of three (3) mixing bowls, and one (1) VIP Smithfield coupon book with a maximum retail value of $50. Approximate Retail Value: $195.
WINNER NOTIFICATION/VERIFICATION: Potential Sweepstakes winner will be notified at the email address used to register for the Sweepstakes. The potential winner must respond to such email with the requested information within 72 hours of date notified or the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Potential prize winner(s) may be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of eligibility, liability release and (where lawful) a publicity release. Noncompliance by date specified for the return of any documents or return of these documents or any prize or prize notification as undeliverable, will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Sponsor is not responsible for any change of email or mailing address. Prizes will be awarded assuming a sufficient number of eligible entries are received during the Promotion Period, and prizes are properly claimed in accordance with these Official Rules. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded.
PRIZE: No substitution, assignment or transfer of prize is permitted by any winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable or greater value, at their sole discretion if an advertised prize or portion thereof becomes unavailable. Any other costs and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of any prize not specified herein are the sole responsibility of each winner. All prize details shall be determined by Sponsor in their sole discretion.
PRIZE CONDITIONS: All federal, state and local taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Entry into this Sweepstakes and/or acceptance of a prize constitutes winner’s agreement (and agreement to confirm in this grant in writing, if requested) and permission for Sponsor, and their designees to use winners’ names/likeness, photograph and limited biographical information for advertising and trade purposes in any and all media worldwide without limitation and without further notice or compensation, unless prohibited by law. Acceptance of a prize further constitutes winner’s acknowledgement that the “Released Parties” (as defined below) have neither made, nor are in any way responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. If the Sweepstakes is terminated before the intended end date, Sponsor will, if possible, award the prizes in a random drawing from all eligible Sweepstakes entries received prior to the Sweepstakes termination. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, the Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any Sweepstakes-related materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, the Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
