In a small mixing bowl, combine the eggs with the mayonnaise, mustard and relish, reserve
Gently heat the ham in a large skillet over medium heat until just warmed through
To assemble: place and even amount of egg salad on 4 slices of toast, top each with 2 leaves of lettuce, then another slice of toast. Top those slices of toast with two slices of tomato, then one piece of ham, then some of the onion. Top with the remaining slices of toast
Place 4 toothpicks at the top, bottom, and both sides of each sandwich, then cut into triangles to serve
