Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon
2 tablespoons
Ketchup
2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
Yellow mustard
1 tablespoon
2 teaspoons
Creole seasoning
2 teaspoons
28 ounces
Canned pinto beans
28 ounces
1/2 teaspoon
Onion powder
1/2 teaspoon
1 tablespoon
Garlic powder
1 tablespoon
1 teaspoon
Chipotle powder
1 teaspoon

Directions


  1. Heat a large sauté pan or griddle over medium-high heat, add the ham steak and lightly brown on both sides, heating through

  2. Meanwhile combine the glaze packet, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, and creole seasoning in a small mixing bowl, and reserve

  3. Place beans, onion powder, garlic powder, and chipotle powder in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil

  4. Reduce heat to a simmer

  5. When the ham is fully heated, cover with the glaze mixture and bring to a boil

  6. Remove the ham from the glaze, transfer to a large platter, and reduce the glaze by 1/2 then pour over the ham

  7. Transfer the beans to a serving bowl and serve both hot
