- 1/2 lb Smithfield Hometown Original Thick Cut Bacon1/2 lb
- 8 oz Round of brie8 oz
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar1/4 cup
- 2 tablespoons Maple syrup2 tablespoons
- 1.5 teaspoons White wine vinegar1.5 teaspoons
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking tray with aluminum foil and lightly grease foil. Add brie to tray and place in oven for 12-15 minutes or until the top of the cheese is soft to the touch. Remove from oven and let it set for about 10 minutes.
Cut bacon into ¼” wide strips and place in large sauté pan. Cook over medium heat for 8-12 minutes, or until brown and crispy. Remove from pan and pat off grease. Pour grease out of pan.
Once brie is set, mix together brown sugar, syrup and vinegar in sauté pan, then toss in bacon and stir well for two minutes. Place brie on serving tray, top with bacon, then serve.
